Mendoza is the starting point of this adventure. Owner of the highest peak in the Americas, Mount Aconcagua, and world-renowned for its wines, ditches and tree-lined streets; its people greets us with the warmth that characterizes it.
The ride starts in Tunuyán. We will travel by private vehicle to the gendarmerie station in the Andes, where horses await us ready to undertake the expedition. We leave all civilization, we expect the Argentine forward Portillo. Located at 4380 m, this narrow passage is our first big challenge. A panoramic view of the valley and the Central Andes will be the gift you get to realize the ascent.
After crossing the pass, the ride continues to Tunuyán river valley.
Transiting the valley, our second challenge to door. Will climb again to reach Paso International Piuquenes. At 4030 meters, this step marks the border between Argentina and Chile. The feat is coming to an end. From there go down to the river Lead (Chile), where vehicles await us to move to the Cajon del Maipo and then to Santiago de Chile.
